I have two bikes. One Cross and One MTB. I have 2 sets of wheels for each bike. One set on wheels for each bike has novatec bubs (purchased new). My issue is that when I have the novatec hubs on either bike the brakes squeel like mad front and rear on both bikes. But if I change to the stock wheels, its all good. I am 100 percent convinced its a hub problem and not a brake problem, so please don't tell me the usual brake noise crap recommendations as I have tried everything. @0 years experience as a bike mechanic.
